Try the safe steps first

Useful checks before a workshop visit.

These steps are deliberately limited to safe owner-level checks. Stop if the aircraft has impact damage, water ingress, a hot battery or anything that could affect safe flight.

01

Safe troubleshooting

  • Record the exact warning and stop flying after damage or abnormal behaviour.
  • Do not open, modify or attempt internal repair unless the work is completed through a Skydio-authorised route or Skydio has approved it in writing.
  • Keep sensitive operational data out of the public website and contact the team first.
02

First-time setup

  • Confirm aircraft, controller, payload and base-station firmware compatibility.
  • Apply the operator's asset identity before operational deployment.
  • Check RTK, payload and communications configuration in a controlled location.
  • Complete the manufacturer's pre-flight and redundancy checks.
03

Non-invasive owner checks

  • Record the exact warning and stop flying after damage or abnormal behaviour.
  • Do not open, modify or attempt internal repair unless the work is completed through a Skydio-authorised route or Skydio has approved it in writing.
  • Keep sensitive operational data out of the public website and contact the team first.

Controlled route protected

Manage the case through the authorised route.

LDR can organise the asset identity, reported fault, warranty or support position, manufacturer communication, dispatch, quotation and return inside the wider fleet record.

Skydio states that maintenance and repairs require Skydio-authorised technicians or field teams unless approved in writing. LDR will not perform repair, maintenance or disassembly without that required authority.

Prepare for service

Help us give you a useful answer quickly.

  • Provide asset serials, operating hours and the exact warning text.
  • Remove mission media and operationally sensitive information.
  • Identify every battery and accessory included with the aircraft.
  • Arrange battery and high-value carriage with the workshop before dispatch.
Only send what the fault needs

We will confirm whether the controller, batteries, charger or payload should travel with the aircraft. Remove storage media and any data not required for the job.

Return delivery

Calculate the packed-parcel guide.

We confirm the final carrier route before payment. Do not post a damaged, swollen, recalled or overheating battery.

Do not use the standard parcel estimator for this aircraft.

Contact the team with the packed dimensions, aircraft value, battery condition and postcode. We will confirm insured collection or a suitable specialist carrier.

Skydio X10D service questions

What customers usually need to know.

How much is a Skydio X10D service?

This model is not on Skydio's current Care Enterprise eligibility list. LDR can still organise the asset record, non-sensitive fault evidence and official warranty or support case; Skydio determines the available route and price.

Can Lincolnshire Drone Repairs diagnose a Skydio X10D?

LDR can document the reported condition and coordinate the official support route. We do not perform Skydio repair, maintenance or disassembly unless the work is completed by an authorised technician or field team, or Skydio has approved it in writing.

What can I safely try before sending a Skydio X10D for repair?

Record the exact warning, remove propellers before a visual inspection and do not power or charge a damaged, wet, swollen or unusually hot battery. The checks below are deliberately non-invasive.

How should I send a Skydio X10D to the workshop?

Contact the team before transport and share only the non-sensitive platform identity and general requirement. Handling, data, insured carriage and battery conditions are agreed before anything moves.
